Meta Quest 3 only. Lol.
It's a feature, not a bug. The Quest 3 is a SOLID platform!
There have actually been no exclusive Quest 3 games, so far. Looks like they are finally dropping Quest 2 developer mandate by the end of the year, so some day soon, we will get to see what the Quest 3 can actually do...This past week, though, this game and Alien: Rogue Incursion were both announced as Quest 3 exclusives!
That's literally NOT how this works! This game is being developed by Camouflage, whom Meta OWNS! It was conceived and funded ALL BY META! There would be NO GAME AT ALL, if it wasn't for development of this game! If you want to complain about no other Arkham game, then that's a seperate complaint! They are leaving behind a massive market. Hence my exclusive comment.

What a dumb comment.
Forgetting the Xbox numbers, it is Quest 3 exclusive. Making the whole comparison useless. lol.
You really should stop reading Twitter.
Console gaming is a slumping market right now, lno matter how anyone feels about it! Both Sony & MSFT have laid off another round of employees again. That guys quoting an old article that has this in it..
Regardless of whether or not the Quest 2 is actually outpacing the Xbox Series X|S
Cause it's not based on actual facts but guess work and was written when both X and PS5 consoles were like gold dust.
No idea why you are obsessed with console. Literally nobody is talking about this coming to console. Lol.Console gaming is a slumping market right now, lno matter how anyone feels about it! Both Sony & MSFT have laid off another round of employees again.
Game over? Industry suffers slowdown after decades-long winning streak
Sales growth in consoles and mobile apps hit as a darkening mood spreads across $200bn video games sectorwww.ft.com
Meanwhile, Apple has just released their 1st gen headset, Meta has just announced that their Quest OS (Now called Horizon OS) will be open to other HW manufacturers to make their own standalone devices, including LG, Lenovo, & HTC. They also announced an Xbox-branded headset that they will produce, and now 2 AAA exclusive games that they are funding. The industry is obviously growing pretty rapidly, in spite of Sony, who are not funding their closed VR ecosystem, based on their overall games business slowing down.
I see that there's a lot of hurt feels about this, but I think it honestly reminds me of how people hated on video games in the 1980s - early 90s. VR is 100% still just taking off!
Thanks for the clarification. My bad. I genuinely thought most here just don't like VR, in general.I'm literally talking about Meta platforms.
I'm not talking about it not coming to Xbox or PC. I'm talking about the massive Quest 2 userbase. A platform that not even 6 months ago was massively outselling Quest 3.

Yeah, well I mean, here's the issue that they are facing right now. Meta released new hardware in October, and we still have NO IDEA what the device can do graphically, as there are 0 games made exclusively for the new processor! They have actually been roasted for this type of launch, and meanwhile the Quest 2 era games are being compared unfairly against PSVR2 and PC. I don't expect these two games to be released until AR LEAST the end of the year. At that point, there will have been an entire year of no generation exclusives.
They are currently fire-sale-ing the Quest 2s, and will have a 3S this holiday, sick has the new processor, but old-style lenses and cheaper cameras. Pretty much all of the YouTube content creators said LOUDLY: "DO NOT BUY" on the Quest 2 last year, as this was pretty much seem coming a mile away, by those of us in the know.
The whole meta quest 2 outsold Xbox headline is irrelevant as this isn't on the platform was my point. This you?
Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you're saying here, as this was where I got lost on thinking you're talking Xbox.
Meta, like Xbox, do not release their numbers, publicly. I have no idea whether or not the Quest 3 is outpacing the Quest 2, after the same amount of time on the shelves. What is the install base on Quest 3?
But MR is the big thing. That is the exclusive software to push quest 3.Meta, like Xbox, do not release their numbers, publicly. I have no idea whether or not the Quest 3 is outpacing the Quest 2, after the same amount of time on the shelves.
However, other than the much better optics, smaller controllers, and MR, there is nothing really at all on the games side to push someone to buy a Quest 3 over a Quest 2, at least until these 2 games release. This is basically no different than how every console releases, though... other than an obviously shorter life cycle. I bought both headsets at release (actually, all 3 Quests), and I know I got my money's worth out of the Quest 2, but Quest 3 is just better in every way, except for the fact that I've never been able to play a native game on it!
But MR is the big thing. That is the exclusive software to push quest 3.
I have no issue with VR as a platform, it does offer some cool things, like Big Screen. However, as a gamer, it just doesn't offer anything. I have yet to see a single VR game where I was like WOW!!Gotta play that. Maybe that is unfair, maybe not, but I'm never paying £400+ to find out...and now they are making the much cheaper quest 2 irrelevant with exclusivity. So not touching that either.
If the Quest 3S launches for like £$300 odds are MR will be gone as will pretty much all other improvements making it kinda pointless.
For VR, growth must be the priority, not selling the latest, most expensive product.
