2024 will bring more layoffs and closures than 2023

It's sad when anyone loses a job, I've been laid off before after working at a place for 12 years they got rid of almost all of our department so I don't want to see anyone lose their job. That being said I was watching sacred symbols the other day and Collin made a point that I hadn't really thought of but it made sense, there are too many people making too many games. There just aren't enough customers to consume all of this content and he may be right.

So will this thread hit 500 posts in a week? Of course not.
I don't know why you are annoyed with the idea that the uncertainty about what MS is doing is a topic worth discussing beyond "it sucks people got laid off". Yeah there is plenty of console war surrounding it but it also isn't just 100% people looking to trash Xbox.

Don’t feel like arguing with you, we know the real reason those threads go into the hundreds when the main people posting are the same usual suspects keeping those threads going with their nonsense. Yet they make one post and move on when it’s anyone else or any other threads that don’t involve MS/XB.

I don't know if he has a point or not. I don't know if reducing the amount of games releasing is healthy for the industry or not. I know where we're at right now isn't healthy but the alternative of releasing less games doesn't sound good either.

The industry has grow too large for the amount of consumers IMO. Even if you factor in poorly run finanicially and schedules. Just like youtubers ( & I know being one) and streamers. Only the top few % make enough to be full time, There are just way too many fighting for same pie.

The problem is there aren't enough potential customers to buy all of these games and spending hundreds of millions just to throw them on a subscription service isn't the answer either.
