Larian - Game subscription services becoming dominant would be bad for both gamers and devs alike

Devolver believes in "selling games first" over day 1 launches on subscriptions & large-scale game dev "crushing under its own weight a little bit.

Good thing developers have the choice. Some developers embrace the day 1 on subscription services and continue to put more games on the services.

Plus nobody is saying you have to go day and date. What if your game doesn't hit? Guess where they usually end up to get a boost of revenue? If BG3 was a flop I can assure you it would have ended up on PSN or GamePass.
