Can't wait for my grandkids to play the beta.
A few streamers I know tried this out. Spoiler alert - the game was horribly broken to the point of being comical
The vast majority of people haven't played the game and therefore don't care. It seems like those who have invested feel like they have to prop it up to justify they money and time they've invested.
$50? Imagine their faces when they see that I have spent $50 on a Don Julio 1942 margarita, or $300 on a shot of Louis XIII cognac.
If you have to justify $50 on a game, you have more things in life to worry about....especially finances.
They’ve raised something like $750 million via early fundraising. It’s insane.

That article says $644 million through 2023, so probably close to $700 million now.
They've progressed far enough so that they could probably just cut staff, do minimal updates over the next few years and take the money and run.
I don't know, but their fundraising has actually been doing very well. They had a big in-game event last year where they raised something like $3.4M in one day.
I think it is generally speaking, but you have to stick to more finished areas. The game crashes frequently as well.
After typing that it sounds more like a “no”, doesn’t it?
I known about this game for many years. Have seen impressive videos of it over the years. Have read some impressive things of what they are aiming for in game. I have not heard a thing about what has been going on behind the scenes, do the gaming media/content creators not care?
